- Healing Hot Stone Massage Therapy – softens adhesive tissue, mobilizes connective tissues, facilitates increased range of motion, improves blood circulation and has many other benefits. The therapist uses warm stones of specific type placed in areas of the body which may be causing pain or be congested. The stones can be used to rub the body as well as lying them on the body. Please allow two hours for this massage.
- Deep Tissue – Massage of areas of the body with trigger points which can cause referred pain including migraines. This type of massage goes deep into the belly of the muscles to reduce adhesions and stimulate blood flow to the area.
- Reflexology—Massage of the feet, hands, and/or ears. Stimulates corresponding areas in the body.
- Swedish Massage—The most common form of massage, Swedish mainly relaxes the muscles and eases aches and pains.
- Sports Massage—For the athlete, sports massage techniques are utilized at all stages: pre-event, post-event, during training, and to expedite rehabilitation after injury.
- Pre-Natal Massage - Massage during pregnancy is a great way to relieve everyday tension and the general aches and pains your body is suffering. It stimulates your lymphatic system, increasing immunity and the removal of excess toxins, while also stabilizing hormonal levels and balancing the glandular system.
Please check with your Doctor about Massage prior to making an appointment. In some cases you should not receive massage work while pregnant. Women with normal, low-risk pregnancies can benefit greatly from massage by a trained pregnancy massage therapist. However, women in high-risk pregnancies should consult with their doctor or midwife before beginning a massage therapy program. If at any time during the massage you experience discomfort, tell the therapist immediately.
